Necessity never stops – and neither do we!

Kick-off for two charitable event projects in Hamburg: Helping hands are always welcome to support people in their everyday lives.

In the coming early summer, in Hamburg two events from Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation aligned: The DOCK2018 – A day without worries is an event in Hamburg that invites people in vulnerable situations. Any support from volunteers is greatly appreciated. DOCK2018 is most welcome. Stop talking. Let's get to work! It brings charitable organizations together and creates a networking platform. Non-profit associations can present themselves and their projects.

The DOCK2018 takes place on 20.05.2018 The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity (Großer Grasbrook 19, 20457 Hamburg). It invites people in need to spend Sunday together, choose from donated items and clothing for their daily needs, and meet each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Various stations are spread throughout the Cruise Center grounds, inviting people to linger together and addressing specific aspects of daily life, such as a StreetStore with clothing distribution, a sanitary area with showers and hairdresser, medical contacts for humans and animals, a buffet, a food bar, and a children's play area with a bouncy castle.

The DOCK2018 DOCK2018 is supported by numerous associations and organizations beyond Hamburg's borders, who provide donations and spread the word. Volunteers are signing up daily to offer their support during the event. Despite the already strong support, the Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation welcomes additional helping hands to make DOCK2018 an unforgettable day for visitors. Let's get to work! takes place on 02.06.2018 An event is taking place in Hamburg, inviting 25 representatives from associations and aid organizations, along with one accompanying person from their professional environment, to foster constructive collaboration. The Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation is implementing an innovative event concept for this gathering.

While the participants were on the tall ship „"Atlantis"“ Sailing through the Hamburg countryside in a relaxed atmosphere, participants engage in open dialogue. Throughout the day, they connect with others whose charitable work and goals share common ground. The aim of the gathering is to foster acquaintances through conversation and collaborations from acquaintances, which can be sealed with a traditional Hanseatic handshake if desired.
